The Western-Style Japanese Room had a cozy tatami area and included an electric kettle, making it a nice spot to unwind after a long day of exploration. The cleanliness was on point, offering a fresh atmosphere throughout the stay.
Transportation options were limited mainly to bus service, creating challenges, particularly in inclement weather. The check-in window of 3 to 7 PM felt restrictive, as it cut into sightseeing time, making arrivals tricky for travelers with tight schedules.

Field Hakone offered a perfect blend of tranquility and traditional Japanese hospitality. The location felt cozy, nestled in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk from the bus station. The room had lovely traditional touches and was spotlessly clean, which made us feel right at home. The owners went above and beyond, helping us with local tips and even carrying our luggage upstairs. They even wiped our suitcase wheels, a nice gesture that showcased their attention to detail. On the downside, soundproofing could be better. I heard some muffled conversations from neighboring rooms and the occasional snoring. However, this didn't detract much from our overall enjoyment. If you're seeking a simple yet charming stay with exceptional service, this is a solid choice.

The spacious room was equipped with modern amenities, including a kettle and a welcoming tatami area that added a traditional touch. The owner provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and was exceptionally accommodating, even offering assistance with transport on a rainy day. However, the lack of soundproofing detracted somewhat from the experience, as noises from adjacent rooms could be heard. Additionally, navigating the stairs was a minor inconvenience, and more dining options would have enhanced the stay.

My rollercoaster experience!
The hosts were incredibly welcoming even arriving early on a rainy morning they helped with our itinerary and provided a well-thought map to attractions.
Soundproofing could be improved as I heard muffled conversations from neighboring rooms which might be distracting at night.

Our stay was delightful, with the staff providing excellent recommendations and even offering us a ride to a nearby restaurant when it got dark and rainy. We loved unwinding in the cozy tatami area of our room and appreciated having an electric kettle available. The steps up to our floor were a bit tricky, but it didn’t take away from the lovely experience we had overall. 😊
